Lord of the Flies
Chapter 3
“Huts on the Beach”
Character Ralph
It is important to have shelter for the littluns because they are more frail then the rest of us. They are afraid of the dark, and the figments of their imagination tend to scar them too.
The various jobs assigned are : keeping the signal fire going, building huts for them to live in, and hunting. They're not carried out because they slack off, and lack any diligence. Simon being somewhat of the exception.
I feel the most important task for survival is shelter, Because without shelter you have no protection against the environment around you.
Simon. Simon is a very diligent worker. He can be very helpful and productive. He is definitely an important factor to our survival.
If we don't get rescued I think we will be able to survive still. I just have to get a better grip on them.
I didn't get along with Jack because he was doing something that wasn't productive, not killing pigs. He is very bad at killing. I was doing something very productive. Building a hut, which is almost always productive. He was also having fun, I wasn't. Theirs you're reason.
