QUESTION 1:Do you think you would read another book by this author? Why or why not?
RESPONSE 1:I would definitely read another book by this author. Michio Kaku is by far the best author I've come across. He writes book on topics I find fascinating, and his books are about topics I find interesting. He has a fantastic writing style. It is very easy to understand. He is quite descriptive in all of his books, and makes you think about things. I would definitely read another book written by him.
QUESTION 2:What was one of your favorite lines (or sentences) in what you read today? Copy it down and tell why you liked it. (It can be more than a sentence if you like, but not too long—you still need to write words of your own!)
RESPONSE 2: “A new scientific truth dose not triumph by convincing it's opponents and making them see the light, but rather because it's opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.”-Max Planck
I found this quote from Max Planck, a German physicist, quite funny, and true. This quote is the possible reality of certain sciences and aspects of America. Abortion is not a science, but the killing of fetuses. Today in America, abortion is legal, but is considered a taboo amongst people of certain religions. In several decades, that generation may die off, and while they may die, the concept and possibility abortion will stay forever, allowing future generations to possibly have a different opinion. This is just an example, but could also be applied to different aspects of American society including; science, political matters, and everyday tasks.
